Follow up to a comment on a blog posting i made.... a complete work of fiction but quite amusing.
No10: "We need some thing fresh.. down with the Facebook / Bebo / Twitter crowd something that will help us connect with Generation Y"
Agency: "We could get you integrated to every social platform out there?, Fresh you say... well we have done some stuff for Hollywood recently".
No10: "Hollywood you say?"
agency: "yes Hollywood, films movies etc, big, clever, social,web 3.0,viral stuff, we can help you connect to your audiences"
No10: .. "Ok we're interested how much?"
Agency: "100k for the lot"
No10 thinking:, the last lot wanted 250k, this will make us look more accountable, positive spin,
No10: "Ok how quickly can you deliver .Brown or "GB" as we're now calling him needs that "in-crowd touch" fast"
Agency: If we do some creative resourcing we will be most likely to deliver around about..say first half of August..
No10: "You've got a deal, keep us informed"
Agency thinking: Well that was easy, this one is gonna look good to future clients.
Agency project manager: "what! your kidding.. do u know how long these things take to build and test?"
Agency money man : "Beg, steal do what ever you can.. 4 weeks alright with you,testing?, can't we do that when it's live?, it will be one of those umm betathings the big players are doing it"
Agency dev, after hearing brief : "sigh" Clicks on to SEARCH enters how to build a site quickly using cms technologies, result returns wordpress
