Now I’m all for Graff and public Art, but bringing the Streets into a gallery space slightly degrades its meaning.
Personally I would like to see more stuff out of these elitist spaces and in public spaces, Art should in this writers opinion be enjoyed within the arena of main stream society.. that's why I’m loving the woostercollectives work at present, there website which highlights random and inspiring work is a must have book mark.
Don't get me wrong I’m not advocating defacing of private property, but I'm a big believer of short time pieces, things that spring up, documented and then removed almost as fast as they appear.

This constant renewable / recyclable ethic of the people behind this genre, keeps the medium fresh and inspiring when these kind of artists start to become main stream (but is it their fault), “ah la Banksy” they then begin to lose their appeal well at least to me.
Art is often said to be something that cause's directly or indirectly an emotional reaction and street guerrilla work makes people stop and question something. There in it's beauty lies it's power it's is something different to break up our daily lives and the normal day to day landscape we experience.
If we kept everything that was produced at street level behind plastic / glass and bars then I worry that the difference will be lost and the effect destroyed.
