The Musings Of A Newman

Well, You know the other day I was musing about something that I was working on well it went live today.

And it's the first game i've ever had on mouse breaker .. it is highly addictive little flash game.. the most complicated part of the design and development was the data handling, this was the first game i've created completely in as3. And has been an eye opener, so far it has had a good response.. although the top score of over 44 seconds is an hard act to beat.

I wanted to add a few more effects and features but time and brand guidelines kinda hindered a few things  still I like the way it works.

I've been a little lapse over the last couple of weeks, and haven't updated my blog...

Like all good new year resolutions, interest dwindles and with that so has my visitor stats.. so what have I been doing?

Well I've been super busy, producing work and doing a spot of traveling.

Last week saw one of the busiest weeks of my working life, I managed to produce three simple flash games in one week, now that's quick going.. one is part of a bigger project which if you live in the areas of Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Yorkshire, you hopefully will get to hear about in the next few weeks.

This one was for an agency day.. and took no longer than a day to design and build.. it's basic but works quite well.

Aside from the games, I also spent the weekend in the Netherlands, not Amsterdam but a little sea side town called Noordwijk, well when I say little think Bournemouth but everything is in Dutch and their arn't so many students about.

Of course I spent some time in Amsterdam, but that's for another post when i've got more time on my hands.

I've worked near the infamous Portobello road for a while now and well I haven't really taken advantage of the many things to see, eat and buy until recently.

This spring I'm making a concerted effort to blog everyday life so I took a camera out with me last Tuesday lunchtime.. here's what i captured, doesn't really do the street any favors with my shoot from the hip kinda approach, but still there's some interesting photos.

A nice little snap shot of a Tuesday afternoon, and yep that bansky was the one that was sold on ebay.. shame it's gonna be going, but hey you can't beat greed.
