Chromo Clock – Hail From the Old Skool

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

I've recently got my old fire-wire drive to work again.... a screw driver and a couple of bangs seemed to do the trick..

Anyway.. here's an old experiment I produced while at University, it's a Chromo clock, for those who are new to the study of colour I suggest you head over to CHROMO® which will explain it all to you.

Anyway here is the clock in all it's glory, each dot represents different elements of the time, it's linked to your computer clock so if you want another colour or to see what it looks like at different types of the day change your PC / MAC clock.

St-Art Chromo Clock 2006

It's original purpose was to act as a screen saver for my St-Art Interactive display unit.. which used a standard web-cam as a navigation tool, the idea being a interactive street unit for the future, uses could include Advertising / Public or domestic content.

Advert is

    not that impressive

, well it wasn't until I saw it on a HD tv at the weekend must say that the music is a winner though thanks to Jack White.

Client: Coca-Cola Great Britain,
Creative Agency: Wieden + Kennedy advertising agency Amsterdam

Sound Track: "A snippet of Jack Whites New Theme Tune - Another Way To Die"

More... (Source NME)

"Jack White was commissioned by Sony Pictures to write a theme song for the James Bond film ‘Quantum Of Solace’, not for Coca Cola. Any other use of the song is based on decisions made by others, not by Jack White.

“We are disappointed that you first heard the song in a co-promotion for Coke Zero, rather than in its entirety.” "
